Hello, my name is Nick Tremaroli!

Scroll to see some of my work!

I recently obtained my M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech. My research thesis involved constructing a low-level control software framework for distributed embedded systems on humanoid robots. I enjoy designing and programming robotic/embedded systems and seeing them interact with the real world. I am currently working on iRonCub for the Italian Institute of Technology. Below are a few of the projects I have worked on throughout my career as a computer engineer.

Project Descriptions:

PANDORA

PANDORA is a bipedal general-purpose autonomous humanoid robot designed and built by the Virginia Tech TREC Lab. PANDORA is unique due to its structural design. The majority of the robot is 3D printed. This design allows for quicker turnaround times as the structural components can be printed in under two weeks.

ForceBot

Conducted by the Virginia Tech TREC Lab, ForceBot aims to design and construct a VR co-bot to simulate physical interaction…

Grounded Force Feedback with Haptic Glove

In collaboration with HaptX and as part of my Senior Design Capstone Team Project, this project…

Portable Radio Jammer

The idea of the portable radio jammer developed in high school. I noticed that radio-controlled devices such as drones…

LED Music

As a college kid, I loved putting up LED lights in my room. I wanted to upgrade these LEDs and take the experience to the next level. My goal for this project was to…

Cryptocurrency Trader

Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin have been a hot topic since the start of the decade.

Self-Built 3D Printer

I enjoy spending my free time learning and tinkering with new technologies. As 3D printing started to get more and more popular, I decided to build my own 3D printer.

Illusion Island Video Game

As part of a final project for my Video Game Design class, my teammates and I designed…
